What to watch 3/1

How I Met Your Mother (8pm on CBS)
Now that the Olympics are over, most of my favorite shows will begin to air new episodes again. Tonight’s episode of HIMYM is the first new one since early February.

CSI: Miami (10pm on CBS)
Rob Zombie directs tonight’s episode. I’m pretty sure I’ve never watched this show before, and I’m not sure if Rob Zombie is enough to get me to tune in, but it is notable.

College basketball (7pm on ESPN)
Tonight’s games include #20 Georgetown at #8 West Virginia at 7pm, and Oklahoma at #25 Texas at 9pm.

MOVIES (various)
X-Men: The Last Stand 8pm on FX, Monty Python and the Holy Grail 8pm on IFC

Links that I didn’t post this week

I look at and read many things on the internet every day. Many of those things I never get around to mentioning on the site, even though I mean to. Here’s a bunch of links that piled up over the last week.

What to watch 2/28

United States vs. Canada Olympic hockey gold medal game (3:15pm et on NBC)
Since I am not a hockey fan, this is probably one of the few times that I will mention hockey on what to watch. I’m sure that more Americans probably watched hockey or had an interest in it than at any other recent time.

Stephen King tv movie mini-marathon (9am on Syfy)
The Syfy channel is playing three of Stephen King’s tv movies/miniseries today, starting at 9am with The Langoliers. Following it up will be The Tommyknockers at 1pm. The Stand will finish the day at 5pm, and it will run until 1am.

MOVIES (various)
The one movie that I would strongly recommend checking out is Primer on IFC at 2:05pm. It’s a 2004 indie sci fi film about time travel that was shot on a budget of about $7,000. Anyhow, here’s the full list of anything somewhat worthwhile, in case you get bored today.

The Green Mile 12:30pm A&E
Jarhead 1pm FX
Pink Floyd: The Wall 1pm VH1 Classics
Primer 2:05pm IFC
Escape From L.A. 3pm AMC
Idiocracy 3pm Comedy Central
Terminator 2: Judgment Day 5pm AMC
Office Space 5pm Comedy Central
Crooklyn 6:30pm BET
Gangs of New York 7:05pm IFC

What to watch 2/26

The Life and Times of Tim (9:30 pm on HBO)
I thoroughly enjoyed last Friday’s season premiere, so I look forward to tonight’s new episode. Also, there’s a new episode of Funny or Die Presents at midnight. I thought last week’s premiere episode was hit or miss, which is exactly what I would anticipate with a show of this nature.

Friday Night With Jonathan Ross (10pm on BBC America)
featuring Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sade

MOVIES (various)
Blades of Glory 8pm ABC, A League of Their Own 10pm Bravo, Seven 8pm IFC, Top Gun 8 & 10pm Oxygen, Ordinary People 10:30pm TCM,
