Zach Galifianakis’s appearance on Saturday Night Live was, at best, okay. The best moments were the digital short and the monologue. None of the sketches really worked.
Digital Short: Zach Drops By The Set
Zach’s monologue
This bidet sketch wasn’t horrible.
In case you wondering, Zach did shave his beard off during Vampire Weekend’s last song, and then wore a fake beard during the closing.
Saturday Night Live (11:30 pm on NBC)
SNL is rarely something that I want to watch, but they’ve done everything right this week by having Zach Galifianakis as host and Vampire Weekend as musical guest.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Rob Lowe will be leaving ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, and joining the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. They report that Lowe will appear in a few episodes before the end of the current season, as well as in the next season.
Meanwhile, Variety is reporting that Adam Scott will be appearing in the last two episodes of the current season of Parks and Recreation, and will be a regular cast member when the show starts it’s third season in the fall. Scott is currently a regular on the Starz comedy Party Down, which begins it’s second season on April 23. If Party Down is renewed for a third season, Scott would only appear in up to three episodes.
So, while it’ll potentially be great, for us viewers, to gain a talent like Adam Scott on Parks and Rec, it’ll be a letdown to lose him on Party Down.
