Stop Smiling to release a book about the vocoder
I semi-regularly check Stop Smiling’s website to see if they are ever going to release a new issue. Once again there was no new issue, but they have recently announced a book, How To Wreck A Nice Beach: The Vocoder From World War II To Hip Hop, The Machine Speaks by Dave Tompkins. The book will be released on March 30.
