Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Rob Lowe will be leaving ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, and joining the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. They report that Lowe will appear in a few episodes before the end of the current season, as well as in the next season.
Meanwhile, Variety is reporting that Adam Scott will be appearing in the last two episodes of the current season of Parks and Recreation, and will be a regular cast member when the show starts it’s third season in the fall. Scott is currently a regular on the Starz comedy Party Down, which begins it’s second season on April 23. If Party Down is renewed for a third season, Scott would only appear in up to three episodes.
So, while it’ll potentially be great, for us viewers, to gain a talent like Adam Scott on Parks and Rec, it’ll be a letdown to lose him on Party Down.
