What to watch 2/7

NHL Hockey: Pittsburgh at Washington (noon on NBC)
I’m not a hockey fan, but from what I can gather, this is one of the NHL’s newest, brightest rivalries featuring two of the games best players: Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin.

NBA: Orlando at Boston (2:30pm on ABC)
This game features the #2 and #3 ranked teams in the Eastern Conference. It should be a good one.

Super Bowl XLIV (6:30pm on CBS)
Almost everyone will be watching this. Super Bowl/NFL related coverage begins at noon on CBS. If you have NFL Network, the NFL Gameday crew will be getting started at 9am and will be going until kickoff. On ESPN, Sunday NFL Countdown will be live from 10am-noon.

TV Marathons (various channels all day)
If you’re not into the Super Bowl, don’t worry, there is something out there for you. Many channels that don’t offer sports programming will play a marathon of a particular tv show. MTV has Jersey Shore from 9am-6pm. USA has Law and Order: SVU from 11am-1am. TNT has Law and Order from noon-midnight. SyFy has Ghost Hunters from 9am-1am. Spike has CSI from 1pm-2am. Discovery has Mythbusters from noon-6pm.
